April showers bring May flowers

Fancy Daffodil

I’ve always liked that phrase. A selection of blooms from my mom’s garden. I’m cheating a bit, these were all taken in April. But most of them were the last couple days of April - that’s close enough, isn’t it?

A lovely reward for a long, dreary winter. But I have to wonder what April snows bring!

Beautiful selection! That snowdrop is especially eye-catching with its green-tinged centre.

Seabrook- Very nice photos, I’m going to have to pick the hellebore as my favorite. Is that Veratrum viride?

    Thanks everyone!

Tom: Not that I’m aware of, but I’ll be honest in that I just know the common name of hellebore. I think it’s just a standard nursery cultivar of the genus Helleborus.
