If you happen to notice that the house is a little cool even though the furnace is on and running, check the air vents to ensure there are no obstructions.

Trixie, I did a quick Google search on the subject, and there were a couple of places that did make the suggestion that cats might be able to see into the infrared spectrum, although I couldn’t pull up anything conclusive (a paper or a website about it, for instance). But you may be right!

Heat hogs! I think kitties see in infrared, they seem to know who’s lap is the warmest, where the food just was on the counter, etc.
I love that shot. Nice, warm, wood floors.
